Tools of the Trade | Creative Direction
In terms of gear, we have access to everything required to bring your creative visions to life. From stop-motion animation to professional photography, from props to food prep and styling, we’re here to make it happen. With an array of experience in digital to print and commercials to creating content for CMS and social media, you’ll be well looked after.
The Styling
The good news is that I have a love of props, and I’ve used this love as an excuse to procure all manner of kitchen “props”! That being said and to personally justify my collection of props allows me to make them available to use for your shoot, and if we come up short in something you need, then we are happy to source what you need.
We love to make food look gorgeous. Have something particular in mind, then we can prep, cook, and style it to bring your creative vision to life.
Working Remotely Together
In working as a creative director, culinary producer/stylist, and photographer, I have primarily worked remotely with clients, many of whom I consider friends yet have never met. Need me on location, no worries, I’m available both remotely and on location as needed.
What’s the project you want to work on? We enjoy working on a variety of campaigns, cookbooks, packaging, as well as, food styling for commercials and cooking shows. I’ve honed my workflow and access to the best technology to make working together simple and easy so you are able to get the images you need no matter where you are located around the world. If you are in need of food styling, we are available to work anywhere you need us, from local to national to international.
The Production Process For Photography | Videography
- Pre-production – This is where we build every production on the understanding that we’re not simply creating pretty pictures. We’re creating images and content intended for an important purpose, to propel your business forward. Our pre-production meetings get at the heart of understanding your goals and vision and planning out the important details so that we have a smooth and successful shoot day. Pre-production also includes the logistics coordination of shipping your products, scheduling with important stakeholders in the shoot, test shoots, and organizing image comps, mood boards, and storyboards when applicable.
- Shoot day – Whether you’re local or remotely joining us or we’re at your place, this is our favorite part of the process. With the help of tethered capture, you’ll be able to see images coming through in real-time. When the creative vision begins to come to life, that’s when the excitement kicks in.
- Delivery – We deliver final image/video files via WeTransfer.
Pre-production Food Styling:
- Similar to a pre-production meeting for photography and videography, we will discuss the logistics of coordinating recipes, from testing the recipes to be photo ready to shopping or shipping products required to make sure we have procured everything needed to create beautiful food.
